LiDAR Map of Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire's mix of chalk wolds, fen edge and rolling farmland has produced one of the richest archaeological records in eastern England, much of it still visible only as faint bumps and hollows in a ploughed field.

LiDAR is especially useful here for spotting deserted medieval villages and drainage systems across the Fens, where centuries of land reclamation have reshaped the surface but left traces underneath.
